About The Artist

As a painter, Solis pursues creative projects ranging from master painting style oil paintings to bold contemporary large art works. His palette is both innovative and complex, mixing styles and mediums to best suit his latest creative pursuit.

Gabriel works closely with decorators, builders, and individual clients to bring a multi-dimensional feel to interior spaces. He has the ability to transform a client’s vision into reality while still bringing to the project his own experience and interpretation.

Solis brings an extensive mastery of color theory, innate sense of rhythm, and compositional elements to each painting. As an abstract painter he is a highly skilled artisan whose art styles compliment almost any environment. His art is visual poetry bursting forth with relentless energetic expression and passion. He is also known for his antiquing and gilding, trompe l’oeil, murals, and stunning design finishes.

Utilizing elements from traditional art forms and years of set production experience from many years in the Hollywood film entertainment industry, his artwork and decorative painting are unique in a field bogged down with sponge and rag-wash faux-finishing techniques.

Indeed, Gabriel Solis has developed his own visual vocabulary and inimitable style. With utmost proficiency he invites us to view the world as a magical, fluid and invigorating panorama. Through his colorful paintings and visual designs, he helps us experience our universe with a new expansive and compelling perspective.
